BBQ Crab Recipe

Crab Broiler, Seaside, OR

Crab Broiler, Seaside, OR

Recipe from the famous Crab Brioler of Seaside, OR

Enough for 4 Servings

Ingredients:

2 Cups Ketchup
2 teas. Horseradish
1 T. Worcestershire
½ teas. Thyme
1 teas. Salt
1 Bay leaf
1 T Sugar
5 Whole cloves
2 Cloves Garlic
3 Cups Water
2 Fresh Cooked Crabs

Clean the cooked crab and separate legs from the body then crack legs and cut body into quarters. Set aside until the sauce is ready.

Combine all ingredients (except crab) in a large pot and bring to a boil and then drop to a simmer for 10 minuets or so to marry ingredients together.

Add the cracked crab to sauce and bring to a boil. (Note, just heat crab until hot don?t over cook!) Maybe 5 minuets or so.

Serve crab in individual bowls with the sauce poured over the top.

Serve a nice French bread along with meal for dipping into the sauce.

This is a very messy meal and bath towels will be needed for bibs.

Fancy dinner options:

· Place the pincher claw on top to finish each individual bowl with the claw holding an olive up towards your guest.

· Instead of towels use red and white-checkered bibs to keep sauce off for your guests.

· Have individual finger bowls with water and a slice of lemon to wash fingers in.
