Free Wifi on the Oregon Coast is becoming as important to people as their cell phones. Coffee shops and Wifi go hand and hand anymore. Whether working or simply surfing the Web, people gather to sip on their tall soy lattes with a double shot and extra foam (!!!) and work from their laptops.
 

Free wireless Internet connectivity is no longer a luxury, but a way of life. The Internet means big business and extra dollars in merchant's pockets as they go that extra mile to attract the computer-savvy crowd. More and more businesses are discovering the importance and marketing sense that offering free Wifi provides. Merchants providing free Wifi along the Oregon coast are no different.

If you're not familiar with the lingo, according to Wikipedia, "Wi-Fi allows LANs (Local Area Networks) to be deployed without cabling for client devices, typically reducing the costs of network deployment and expansion. Spaces where cables cannot be run, such as outdoor areas and historical buildings, can host wireless LANs."  In layman's terms, grab your laptop, plop it down wherever there is a Wifi hotspot and you're surfing the Web in no time, flat!

I personally love going to my favorite coffee shop and booting up my laptop, to work on this site or my Portland site. It's comfortable and allows me to conduct business without any distractions. In fact, I'm writing this page on my laptop in a little cafe in Cannon Beach. It's as serene as can be!
