In 2002 I lived in Newport for 6 months. The lighthouse area was my favorite place in the whole world. That is how I discovered Izzy's Pizza in Newport.
Every Monday morning, I would get the new National Enquirer, maybe even the Globe, and head for Izzy's. Fun reading, wonderful eating, and looking at the ocean -- what a great way to start the week! I always called it "Eatin' at Izzy's" Then I would head for the lighthouse.
I wish I were still there.

My kids and I would drive all the way from Sacramento more often if we could just to dine at Izzy's in Newport; absolutely love it there!
Best selection of hot foods, salad bar, pizza, atmosphere, and the view is priceless. Good-good memories from there every time we go.
