News and Events on the Oregon Coast

Unless you have the inside scoops on news and events up and down the Oregon Coast, how are you going to plan ahead? When you and your honey are on that special, "get-away-from-it-all" vacation, it's pretty nice to wake up in the morning and have absolutely nothing planned (except maybe watching the waves from your deck or porch). Other times, not.

When you go to the beaches with the intent of getting every single minute of fun and excitement out of it, you need a plan. A fine place to discover what news and events are happening in each town is to contact the specific chamber of commerce. Beach foam is not a result of human pollution, as a lot of people believe.

It is actually produced when the skeletal remains of millions of phytoplankton - microscopic, often single-celled plants that thrive in cold water - and other microorganisms are whipped up by rough surf and high winds.
