Oregon Coast Restaurants - The Best In Food And Dining
These are some of the best Oregon Coast restaurants, according to my visitors and myself. There are very few things more romantic than a scrumptious meal with a breath-taking view. I truly enjoy a good plate of fresh seafood in the presence of my wife with the beach as the backdrop. Whether it's fine dining or just a great menu to choose from, here are some of my picks:

Morris' Fireside Restaurant - Cannon Beach
This beautiful log cabin restaurant in the heart of downtown Cannon Beach is a cozy and romantic place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

The Pancake Mill - North Bend The Pancake Mill in cozy North Bend is one of the all-time favorite places for a scrumptious breakfast or lunch in the entire bay area. To-die-for baked goods are just the tip of the iceberg. Hearty breakfasts from a large menu, including strawberry waffles with whipped cream, old-fashioned oatmeal, buckwheat pancakes and so much more. Grab a take-out menu as long as you're here! High Dock Bistro - BandonPamela Hansen says about her best restaurant pick, the High Dock Bistro: "To have a truly delicious unique dinner in Bandon, Oregon you must try the High Dock Bistro. This cozy intimate restaurant epitomizes the rustic Pacific Northwest Coast. It has beautiful views of the mouth of the Coquille river, the lighthouse, and is located on the harbor. It is locally owned by Chef Kris Nelson and Kathy Carnahan, restaurateurs extraordinaire. Kathy is one of the best waitresses anywhere on the planet. Normally with 3 specials a night in addition to the regular menu, the chef and co-owner will serve you the tastes that bring people from all over the US to the small town of Bandon to dine. The food is prepared and presented to perfection. You will find specials such as fresh Ling Cod Lazio, Chicken Gorgonzola Pasta, Pork Chops with Pear Sauce. My personal menu favorite is Scampi's Montezuma with scrumptious Large Prawns, garlic, capers, green chile served on a bed of linguine, topped with melted romano cheese. It is the best shrimp dish known to mankind. They have a unique fine wine list featuring Oregon and organic wines. The warm Bourbon Bread Pudding dessert is worth saving some extra room for! Prices range from $13 - $30. Whenever anyone asks us what is the best restaurant in Bandon, without a moment's hesitation, we always recommend the High Dock Bistro." The Bay House - Lincoln CityThis has to be the single best restaurant on the Oregon Coast with the most amazing view of them all. The wide selection of dishes on their delightful menu and huge wine list is the icing on the cake. With a very attentive staff to serve you, you have all the makings of a romantic dinner for two. Open for business since 1978, The Bay House has been a favorite place to dine for many a romantic couple. Luncheon is served Tuesday-Saturday from 11:30am to 2:00pm. Dinner is served nightly from 5:30 pm.

This fine restaurant housed in a 1919-built and renovated home serves fresh seafood, organic produce and hormone-free meats. Their 3 chefs are consistently rotating the menu items to give you different selections to choose from every time you visit. This is an elegant place that would be perfect for a romantic lunch or dinner. When you speak about best restaurants, this is one to put on your list. Lil' Sambo's - Lincoln City
I've listed Lil Sambos here, not because of the food quality (I'd much rather eat at the Pig'N Pancake down the street), but simply because it's been a Lincoln City icon for many a year with a rich story and history behind it. It does have a large menu and the food is pretty good. Regardless, this has been one of my favorite places to stop at ever since I was a tiny Oregon Coast Guy. ;)

Wayfarer Restaurant & Lounge - Cannon Beach
Mix a touch of class, fabulous food and an awesome view of Haystack Rock together and you have the Wayfarer Restaurant, one of the best restaurants on the Northern section of coast. Whether you're there for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you will certainly find some of the freshest seafood, soups and salads and more. You will love this place. Just one of the great advantages of visiting Cannon Beach.

|  I know that it's not a long list of the best restaurants, by any stretch, and is by no means meant to be exhaustive. Since the web site went up, I have planned to hit many other places so that I can share them with you. This is just my favorites and the ones I frequent when going to the coast. I'm pretty much a creature of habit, so I don't tend to vacillate much when it comes to the places I eat. I can however guarantee you some great seafood at these restaurants.
