Pixie Kitchen? Oh my Gosh!

by Terri Wheelock
(Calabash, North Carolina)

My Mom Betty worked at the Pixie Kitchen for years. My brother worked there as a bus boy and I worked as a bus girl.

Seeing these tables reminds me of busing them and cleaning out the sand. My grandmother worked in the salad department.

Then we moved away and when I moved back I was married and had two children. I then went to work at Pixie Kitchen as a waitress. My daughter had her 2nd birthday party there. It was a great place to take the kids. These pictures take me way back.

I loved the food! It was the best ever! I had my third child in Lincoln City and then we moved back to Seattle.

The Pixie Kitchen owners were great to work for and all the employees where like family.
