It's time to propose at the Oregon coast....
You're thinking that it's time to pop the age old question now that you have built a solid relationship with the one you love. This is a real exciting time for any couple and a chance for you to really shine, sir. One thing that always sticks in a lady's mind is the place and way that you ask for her hand in marriage.
The more unique and romantic you make it, the more memorable it's going to be. It will be something that she tends to brag about to all her girlfriends. "Have you heard how John proposed to me....??" Hehe. It's great to be talked about when you've done something really cool.
The thing that a lot of men don't understand is that you do not have to spend a small fortune on a fancy proposal for it to mean anything to a woman. In fact, most women don't want anything that costs you an arm and a leg. They are looking for romance. This is a perfect time to let your creativity spill over.
Now, to the business at hand. I'm here to help you discover some of the coolest places to pop the question. Shall we begin? ;)
In the small and and unincorporated town of Neskowin there stands a treasure. In the town, there is a restaurant and a store and little else. No police force and no city government. You actually wouldn't think you'd find much here, but, oh, how wrong you would be.
Standing tall on the Neskowin beach sands is Proposal Rock. The history of Proposal Rock is long and romantic. This is a place that is known for it's affect on lovers. Over the years, many a gentleman has popped the question to his lady with this haystack-shaped behemoth as their backdrop. An Innkeeper of one of the local B&B's reports that those same couples return year after year on their anniversaries, to relive the memory of that first big commitment.
Hug Point State Park
Cannon Beach, Oregon
Just south of Cannon Beach lies the Hug Point State Recreation Area. A path was carved out long ago for stage coaches to travel upon and you can walk it still today, hand-in-hand. Sea caves, a waterfall and the sight of beautiful Haystack Rock in the distance all set the mood for a wedding proposal.
This is a perfect place for romance. Stroll along the cliff walls, walk amongst the tide pools, spread out for a comfortable picnic in the seclusion and, when she least expects it, ask for her hand in marriage. It gives me goose bumps just thinking about it! ;)
That should give you a few ideas of best places to propose on the Oregon Coast. I'll list more as the site progresses, so bookmark the page and check back in. Romance is what you make it.
You don't have to spend a lot of money to make a memory. Something as life-changing as a proposal of marriage deserves a special setting. Use you imagination. Be inquisitive of what your girl enjoys.
