Standing tall on the Neskowin beach sands is Proposal Rock. The history of Proposal Rock is long and romantic. This is a place that is known for it's affect on lovers. Over the years, many a gentleman has popped the question to his lady with this haystack-shaped behemoth as their backdrop. An Innkeeper of one of the local B&B's reports that those same couples return year after year on their anniversaries, to relive the memory of that first big commitment.

Hug Point State Park
Cannon Beach, Oregon

Just south of Cannon Beach lies the Hug Point State Recreation Area. A path was carved out long ago for stage coaches to travel upon and you can walk it still today, hand-in-hand. Sea caves, a waterfall and the sight of beautiful Haystack Rock in the distance all set the mood for a wedding proposal.
