Review of Historic Anchor Inn, Lincoln City Oregon

by Oregon Coast Gardener
(Lincoln City OR)

If you are looking for a unique place to stay in Lincoln City at very (!) reasonable prices, the Anchor Inn is it.

The Anchor is located in the Taft District, just a little south of the Inn at Spanish Head.

Located high on the hill, this historic hotel is not on the oceanfront but offers such charm. With the privacy of a hotel but the feel of a B&B (or coastal museum?) this place is different. The interior features warm wood trim and beautiful lighting and a dazzling array of historic artifacts collected by the owners over their many years of coastal living.

A cozy living-room for guests and other common areas, including a garden patio, allow guests to mingle. Rooms usually include a sitting room separate from sleeping area, also decorated with antiques.

And breakfast is to die for! A hot, home-cooked meal instead of the usual cereal & stale pastries. How do I know about this gem of a hotel? I live in Lincoln City, as does my sister and family. We often refer visitors to stay at the hotel, and they have never been disappointed. Rates vary $39 (winter) to $89 (summer).
