Oregon Coast Wedding Officiants

oregon coast wedding officiants

Finding the right Oregon coast wedding officiants for your ceremony is one of the most vital parts of planning your Oregon coast wedding.

There is a lot of time and effort put into your life-long wedding ceremony and you want the one man or woman bringing you two together to be the right one.

When my wife and I got married, we were blessed enough to have her Grandpa Ted (who was an ordained minister) marry us. Such a great man! He was very soft-spoken, gentle and personable. The icing on the cake was knowing the man inside and out and knowing that he had our best interests in mind. The ceremony was going to be great if for no other reason than having my wife's grandpa sealing our vows.

wedding officiantWhen searching for Oregon coast wedding officiants, you want to start right away. Look around and seek out a few different people to choose from. Make sure that who you are considering is totally legit and legal to marry you in the state you're in. That's kind of a no-brainer, but putting together wedding details can get mind-numbing. I want to make sure that one thing is on your list of things to cover.

Decide whether you and your bride or groom want a religious or a secular wedding. If you are thinking secular, you can always seek out the local city hall or Justice of the Peace. If religious, many pastors and priests will insist on or strongly recommend pre-marital counselling (another reason to start your search early). Trust me, this isn't a bad thing at all. You want to make sure you're getting together with the one person who is genuinely going to make you happy for the rest of your life.

wedding officiantsMeet with the wedding officiant. Sit down and talk. Make sure that they are going to be someone who will invest themselves in your wedding. Will they need to travel to your wedding location? Some charge extra for that, so make sure you know. Know exactly who you're entrusting with your wedding and what you can expect from them.

Consider their beliefs. Do they match yours? Listen to their speaking voice and the way they interact with you and present themselves to others. Are you planning to write your own vows? Now is the time to go over that with them.

All in all, you want to make absolutely sure that the Justice of the Peace, pastor, rabbi, or priest is as perfect a match as everyone and everything else going into your wedding.
