Working For Jerry and Lu Parks at Pixie Kitchen

by Art Jennings
(Wasilla, Alaska)

Many members of my family including myself and my wifes family worked at the Pixie Kitchen.

My mother worked there for many years. when my step father was killed in the spring of 1960, Jerry sent meals to our house for several days to feed all the relatives that came to help my mother.

They delivered meals in the Pixie Kitchen truck. As I remember, there were at least 12-15 people to feed and they didn't hesitate.

The Parks were special people.
